I will give you all possible steps to troubleshoot installation failure which work in about 90% of cases. ![]() If none of those appear then it's not UEFI, so did you make the Rufus Media for UEFI for GPT drives? That would explain it. If it's an old laptop then are you sure it even has UEFI? Go into BIOS Setup by powering up while pressing the F12 key, enter BIOS setup to look for UEFI, CSM or Legacy Boot, Secure and Fast Boot, or Windows Boot Manager in Boot Priority order.
